Hello all and everybody. Its Marianne, of the Politiblog, with a heads up.

 

For those of you who have been hiding in a cave or under a rock (and who can blame you?), you need to know that yes, Virginia, there really will be a primary election, with ballots dropping mid July and due back to the Auditor’s office by August 4. 

 

I’ll be providing my usual acerbic comments, but right now I want you to know that there are opportunities to see and hear various candidates. Please plan to attend one or more of these events – and feel free to post your reactions to me at fh@whidbey.com, especially the in person meetings, which I will not be able to attend. I’d love one or more reports. 

 

I’ve actually searched around for other candidate events and have come up empty. 

 

I have not listed the candidates’ names because we can’t know which of them will in fact appear. I take an unexcused absence as a strike against a candidate. 

 

I’ll be posting more later, but for now, mark your calendars for these events.
